To practice Chiropractic in New Zealand a duly qualified Chiropractor from a recognized tertiary education institution must pass and hold New Zealand Chiropractic Board licensing examinations. Chiropractors in NZ were legislatively recognized in the 1960’s, and today are covered by the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act, 2002. Continuing Professional Development conferences, seminars, and courses ensure that we stay up to date with developments and techniques in Chiropractic care to ensure we continue to provide superior Chiropractic services.
Di was also brought up in New Plymouth and educated at Woodleigh School, Devon Intermediate and Spotswood College. Di has had 30 years' experience in Chiropractic services and is always willing to go that extra mile to meet your needs and make you comfortable in a relaxed and friendly environment.
We have a total of over 60 years' experience in providing Chiropractic services to Taranaki!
Our Philosophy, - How We Operate
We provide primarily an acute care general chiropractic service with the emphasis on careful assessment, consideration and diagnosis of your presenting condition, and then appropriate care.
To do this takes time, and we allow various appointment times to suit, (anything from 10 or 15 minutes to an hour and a half), which is why you must ring us to make an appointment, - as we need to know quite a lot of information so as to know how much time to allow for you, - which is not possible to do on automated self-booking sites.
We certainly do NOT operate a "production line" style of providing treatment, (nor the same treatment to everyone), but individual diagnosis and care to resolve your problem(s) as quickly as possible. Dr Haldane will talk to you at the start of EVERY consultation to gauge progress or not and hear any concerns.
Dr Clarence Gonstead, (chiropractor), once said "find it, fix it, and forget it", which is pretty relevant to our own philosophy. To do this we assess your progress and current status at EVERY consultation, so we do NOT suggest or recommend "programmes" of treatment.
If patients want and request appropriate, (3, 4, or 6 monthly), maintenance care, then that is happily provided, but it is certainly NOT a requirement, and many patients continue their normal lives and simply let us know when they have done something else, or the same thing again, when we will again provide whatever time is required.
Our reputation is built on our quality of service, time provided, and results.
